Small Heritage Adoption Project

Caring for and Repainting Milestones Workshop

Registered Volunteers Only. Click here to register as a volunteer. It's quick and easy!

Friday 2nd August from 1000-1600.

Come along to learn how to care for and repaint mileposts, whether you have adopted one (yet) or not!

I will be joined by John Higgins of the Milestone Society who has wealth of knowledge and experience of working with milestones.

We will start the day inside (venue tbc), learning a little more about these heritage assets and how we can monitor their condition. Then after a health and safety briefing about working by the roadside, we will make our way to the milepost East of Townhead Farm just to the E of Longnor to have a practical demonstration of what to do. You will then have a chance to put what you have learnt into practice.

Equipment and biscuits will be provided.

Booking via BetterImpact Volunteer Page or via Catherine Parker Heath.
