Description

Come along and help us plant the first batch of nearly 4000 trees this winter!

We are working with four farmers to plant trees on their land to improve water quality, sequester carbon and create new habitats. Volunteers are needed to help us plant these native tree species with a stake and guard to protect them from nibbling wildlife.

This is our first day at Onecote planting trees, there are 730 trees to plant at this location, so the more the merrier.

Meeting point is the Jervis Arms car park, Onecote, ST13 7RU.

Meet Andy Farmer (07973 848384) at 9:30am followed by a short walk to the planting site. We will finish at 3pm so please bring lunch and refreshments with you.

Sturdy footwear and warm, waterproof clothing is a necessity.

Equipment will be supplied but please bring your own spade and gloves if you would like to.

To ensure the health and safety of our staff and volunteers please do not attend the activity if you, any member of your household, or somebody you have been in close contact with: have symptoms of (or likely to be of) Covid-19; have recently tested positive for Covid-19; are awaiting the results of a PCR test; or have been asked to self-isolate. If you are able to take a Lateral Flow Test before joining us please do so.

Social distancing measures will be in place at all times and we ask you to follow these and respect each other.
